As I was wrapping up The Witcher III: Wild Hunt guide, the Project Editor mentioned to me that the Author had been writing a piece, for his own amusement. A manuscript about the factions in the game from the perspective of an inhabitant of Novigrad. He asked what I would do with it if I could do anything I wanted. To me this was like seeing a unicorn run through the room, so I said “give me a couple hours and I’ll show you.”

Two hours later I gave him a four page mock up of a worn manuscript with: pencil baselines for the text, hand written and drawn marginalia, and ink spatters etc., which he proceeded to send off to CD Projekt Red. They loved it so much, not only did they want it included with our Witcher III guide, but they also added this book digitally, in it’s entirety, to the game!
