Console Icon Fonts<\/span><\/h3>\n

Icons For Video Game Controllers<\/span><\/h4>\n

These are some of Console Icon Fonts I created using Illustrator and Fontographer, for Brady Games and Prima Games. Their intended use was to represent the controller buttons within the content of our Strategy Guides.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first Platform Icon Font I designed for Brady Games was for Sony PlayStation in 1996. My goal was to develop a simplified method of conveying button presses and button combinations without the necessity of describing the actions in words. Rather than saying \u201cPress up and left on the direction pad while holding the X button\u201d we could have the actual buttons in the text. This made our books much easier to read with less potential for misinterpretation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over my tenure with Brady Games and Prima Games, I created Icon Fonts for every major gaming console from Sony PlayStation through Nintendo Wii.<\/span><\/p>\n
